A lecture (in Greek language) on archaeoastronomy and geodesy in Cyprus will be delivered by film director/producer StavrosPapageorgiou at the SALAMINIA Lecture Room of the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia on Sunday, November 13, at 3:00 pm, within the scope of the Mind, Body and Spirit Exhibition Cyprus 2011, which will be held on 12th & 13th November 2011.
The lecture will detail the archaeoastronomical research carried out by both Stavros Papageorgiou himself and Goris Grigoriades at three ancient veneration sites in Cyprus: the Sanctuary of Aphrodite at Palaepaphos, the Temple of Apollo Hylates at Curium, and the Temple of Aphrodite at the acropolis of Ancient Amathus.
The lecture will also feature the
showing of excerpts from the documentary ENTELECHY, which has, as its subject, archaeoastronomy in Cyprus (see trailer here).
During the exhibition, the director will be available at Table #105, where DVD's of the documentary film "ENTELECHY" will be available at special price (20 euros each), in 2 versions: in Greek language, and in Greek language with English subtitles.
